There is a wedding that I have been dreaming of all year, anticipating with excitement and love in my heart. It was the marriage of Kristine and Steven. Kristine is the lead photographer of Kristine Marie Photography, she is talented, an absolute sweetheart and it goes without saying, simply gorgeous. She planned to marry Steven, the charming, super friendly, and of course, incredibly handsome Steven. I have had the pleasure of getting to know them both so well over the past year both professionally through our mutual photography gatherings, workshops etc and personally through their engagement session and our preparation meetings, phone calls and messages up onto the wedding day. They are simply the loveliest couple and truly a very special pair.
Their wedding day began with a brand new camera in my hand (thats a long story, but a photographer can never be too prepared especially when she is photographing another photographer.) The day was gorgeous, it was sunny, not a cloud in the sky and a warm, ok, super warm hot sticky heat in the air… but it wasn’t raining and I was thrilled. I dropped my lovely second photographer Renee, off at the grooms house from some preparation images, while I headed over to The Four Points Sheraton to see how Kristine’s morning was coming along. Hair and Makeup was well underway by Honor Beauty The girls looked simply beautiful. Kristine opened a special letter from Steven and the bride dressed in her gown with help from her maid of honour and mom.
A traditional catholic wedding ceremony took place at Cathedral of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, followed by family and bridal party images at Balls Falls Conservation Area.
We then travelled to John Michaels Banquet hall for an evening of food, drink and dancing. Guests enjoyed a antipasto bar that seemed almost endless in food with draping prosciutto, fresh sushi, mussels, an assortment of cheeses and the list goes on!
A grand and exciting entrance provided in both English and Italian by the always fabulous Andrew of Dynamic Entertainment
The festivities continued on well into the evening with more dancing, delicious food, and sentimental speeches.
Kristine and Steven, I cannot thank you enough for sharing your wedding day with me. It means so much to me that you not only trusted in me to capture your images, but loved my art so much, I was chosen with the honour of sharing your story through my camera.
I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness, and of course to many more years of friendship.
